Managing Director - Chris Warner
Chris Warner founded the business in the late 1990s, starting with just a small fleet of generators and a clear vision for the future. Drawing on his experience in other hire businesses, Chris recognized a significant gap in the market—customers were seeking not just equipment, but a reliable, customer-focused provider of power generation solutions. He saw the opportunity to build something different: a company that placed customer service and technical expertise at its core.
Through relentless hard work, a deep understanding of the industry, and an unwavering commitment to exceeding client expectations, Chris laid the foundation for what would become a nationally recognised leader in the power generation sector. Today, the business stands as a testament to his original vision—a trusted, go-to supplier known across Australia for its excellence, reliability, and customer-first approach.
Chris remains an active member of the team to ensure his high values are still being met!
Outside of work, Chris spends time with family but also has a passion for dirt bikes.
General Manager - Tyden Latty
Tyden brings a wealth of experience to the hire industry, having held a variety of roles over the years. Notably, he spent nine years at Coates Hire, one of the industry's leading companies, where he was responsible for managing multiple branches. During this time, Tyden developed a deep understanding of operational management and customer service within the equipment hire sector.
His expertise extends to overseeing large-scale equipment logistics for major national events, including the prestigious Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix. This high-profile experience has given him a strong foundation in coordinating complex projects under tight deadlines and high expectations.
For more than a decade, Tyden has been a key member of the SGH team, playing an integral role in the company’s continued success and growth. His leadership, industry knowledge, and dedication have made him a valued part of the organisation.
Outside of work, Tyden is a dedicated family man who enjoys spending quality time with his loved ones. He is also an active member of his local cricket club, where he continues to contribute both on and off the field.
