Southern Generators and Electrical are providing 24-hour diesel powered lighting towers to an open-cut mine in Ravensworth, New South Wales. These lights are providing lighting in working areas where diggers are removing overburden or coal and loading dump trucks and taking coal to wash areas. These lights are scattered all over the mine, allowing full visibility and productivity during night operations. Lighting towers can be towed around the mine to light up any work area the size of a football field, allowing maximum visibility and minimising difficulties associated with night work.
